Privacy Policy

SWAY is a rhythm instrument for iPhone and iPad. The app does not require an account and does not send your projects, sounds, or motion sensor data to the developer.

Data on your device

Sound synthesis runs on your device. Patterns, sound settings, saved projects, and interface preferences are stored locally. SWAY does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. The app does not collect personal data for the developer.

Motion controls

Optional motion controls use device motion to change sound parameters and recognize supported gestures. This data is processed locally and is not uploaded to us or used to identify you. SWAY does not record microphone audio.

Import, export, and backups

You can import or export project JSON files using system file and sharing interfaces. You decide where exported files go. Any service or person you choose to share with handles those files under its own practices. Device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings; SWAY does not operate a cloud project service.

Your choices

You can manage saved projects in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; exported copies and device backups must be managed separately in their storage locations. You do not need to use motion controls to make music.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid including sensitive information. This static website uses no analytics scripts or advertising cookies. Its hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process ordinary connection information, such as IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website.

Apple services

App Store purchases, distribution, and any diagnostics you choose to share through Apple are handled by Apple under its own privacy practices. SWAY does not receive your payment card information.
